This Monday marked another mutually beneficial collaboration opportunity between Salvius Legal B.V. and Erasmus School of Law! The CEO of Salvius, Myrthe Trompert, delivered a guest lecture as part of the Law & Data Program and presented on “Data Protection in Clinical Research”, exploring the intersection between theory and practice.
This was not the first time that Salvius and Erasmus joined forces: earlier this year, master’s students in International and European Union Law analyzed an anonymized, real-world case study over six months. The case focused on data protection legislation in an international context, specifically linked to clinical research. The project concluded with a final presentation where students showcased their findings, offering fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.
A heartfelt thank-you to Enrique Santamaría Echeverría and María Campo Comba from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and to Marta López Martínez from Salvius for nurturing this mutually enriching collaboration.
